Scope
This notice explains how this website collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information. The website is intended for general insurance education and initial contact. Do not submit health information, policy details, Social Security or driver-license numbers, payment-card or bank information, or investment-transaction instructions.
Information collected
Information you provide: When you email Dante directly, your email address and the information you choose to include in your message are handled through your email provider and Dante’s inbox. The website no longer offers a public inquiry or newsletter sign-up form. Records from earlier form submissions and email-list choices may remain in the protected database as described below.
Website and email activity: a randomly generated first-party browser identifier, pages viewed, scheduling-link clicks, article views, reading depth, timestamps, and limited request information used for security and rate limiting. When email delivery is connected, the site may also record whether an opted-in message was accepted, delivered, delayed, opened, clicked, bounced, suppressed, failed, or reported as spam so delivery problems and opt-outs can be honored. Google Analytics also measures public-page visits, referral and campaign sources, page URLs, interactions, and general browser, device, and approximate geographic information. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar browser storage. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in this site’s Google Analytics configuration. If you arrive after clicking a ChatGPT ad, the OpenAI Measurement Pixel may also capture an OpenAI click reference and store it in a first-party cookie so a later conversion can be attributed to that ad. These measurement identifiers are not intended to identify you by name.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to inquiries, provide requested insurance education, arrange optional appointments, maintain and secure the website, understand how visitors find and use public pages, measure site and advertising performance, document prior consent, and comply with legal obligations. Google Analytics does not record page views for the private owner area. Email questions are sent through your own email provider, not through a website form.
Calls and text messages
The website no longer collects phone numbers or phone/text consent through a public form. Prior consent records may remain in the protected database. Reply STOP to a text to opt out, or email Dante to withdraw phone-contact consent. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. Message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies.
Email choices
The website no longer offers a newsletter sign-up box. Existing subscribers may unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email. Sending Dante a question by email does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Disclosure and service providers
Personal information is not sold. It is not shared for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, databases, security, analytics, advertising measurement, scheduling, or email delivery, including Google for public-site analytics and OpenAI for measurement of ChatGPT ad conversions, subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
California privacy choices
California residents may request access to the personal information maintained about them, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion, subject to applicable exceptions. Because this site does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act apply, visitors may also exercise the rights provided by those laws without discriminatory treatment.
Submit a privacy request by emailing Dante at dantericardoavena@gmail.com and identify it as a privacy request. Reasonable verification may be required before fulfilling a request so personal information is not disclosed to the wrong person.
Retention
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including responding to requests, maintaining consent and opt-out records, protecting the site, resolving disputes, and meeting legal or compliance obligations. The retention period depends on the type of record and why it is needed, after which information is deleted or de-identified when reasonably practicable.
Security
Contact and subscriber records are stored in the website’s protected database and are available through an authenticated owner area restricted to Dante R. Avena. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
This notice may be updated as the site, its service providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
