Scope
This notice explains how this website collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information. The website is intended for general insurance education and initial contact. Do not submit health information, policy details, Social Security or driver-license numbers, payment-card or bank information, or investment-transaction instructions.
Information collected
Information you provide: your name, email address, selected area of interest, optional message, and—only if you choose to provide it—your phone number and separate phone-contact consent. If you join the email list, the site records the newsletter-consent language, date, subscription status, and limited technical information used to document consent and prevent abuse.
Website activity: a randomly generated first-party browser identifier, pages viewed, scheduling-link clicks, article views, reading depth, timestamps, and limited request information used for security and rate limiting. This analytics identifier is not intended to identify you by name and is not combined with contact-form details for advertising.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to inquiries, provide requested insurance education, arrange optional appointments, maintain and secure the website, measure site performance, document consent, comply with legal obligations, and—only when separately selected—send email updates or contact you by phone or text.
Calls and text messages
Entering a phone number and checking the phone-consent box are optional. If you provide both, you give prior express written consent for Dante R. Avena to call or text you about insurance services and your inquiry, including communications that may use automated technology or an artificial or prerecorded voice where permitted. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. Message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies. Reply STOP to a text to opt out, or use the contact form to withdraw phone-contact consent. Submitting the form without providing a phone number and checking that box does not authorize phone or text marketing.
Email choices
Email-newsletter consent is separate and optional. It is not required to submit an inquiry or request a conversation. Marketing emails are sent only after the newsletter box is selected, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
Disclosure and service providers
Personal information is not sold. It is not shared for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, databases, security, analytics, scheduling, or email delivery, subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
California privacy choices
California residents may request access to the personal information maintained about them, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion, subject to applicable exceptions. Because this site does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act apply, visitors may also exercise the rights provided by those laws without discriminatory treatment.
Submit a privacy request through the contact form and identify it as a privacy request. Reasonable verification may be required before fulfilling a request so personal information is not disclosed to the wrong person.
Retention
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including responding to requests, maintaining consent and opt-out records, protecting the site, resolving disputes, and meeting legal or compliance obligations. The retention period depends on the type of record and why it is needed, after which information is deleted or de-identified when reasonably practicable.
Security
Contact and subscriber records are stored in the website’s protected database and are available through an authenticated owner area restricted to Dante R. Avena. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
This notice may be updated as the site, its service providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
